For me it shows up as "E b Major" where the b is acually a unicode flat sign. It sounds as though your browser is not displaying it correctly. Is it correctly interpreting the page as Unicode (UTF-8)? If so, then maybe you don't have a unicode font containing the flat glyph.
You're right, Harry. I tried "A Flat Major" and "a flat minor". Same result ("?"). I have my browser Character Encoding set at UTF-8. Where can I go to check if my browser is displaying Unicode correctly?
Flat, natural, and sharp are 9837, 9838, and 9839 in decimal (266D, 266E, and 266F in hex). I don't know where you can test it online, but you could make a web page with & # 9837; in it with no spaces (♭) and see if you see the flat sign. If you do, you could use 9786 (☺) and cook yourself a nice treat (♨) while whistling a happy tune (♫ ♬).

Ken,
