1 Wonderful promise, oh, precious word,
Coming to Jesus, I gladly heard;
Falling like balm on the troubled sea,
Telling me my Savior cares for me.
So in Him I trust, merciful and just;
Changeless in His love and free;
And His grace within overcometh sin,
For my Savior cares for me.

Refrain:
Trusting in the promise of my Savior King;
Every care to Him I bring.
Trusting in His promise, happy will I be,
For my Savior cares for me.

2 Wonderful promise! It cheers my days,
Turning petitions to grateful praise;
Comfort from which gloomy shadows flee;
Jesus, blessed Savior, cares for me.
Joyful now my song, love can do no wrong;
In His name my trust shall be;
Others may I bring, jewels for my king,
Singing, Jesus cares for me. [Refrain]

3 Wonderful promise! Why should I fear?
Only to follow His footprints clear;
All that is needful, will He provide;
Safely to the homeland, He will guide.
Humbly will I go, He the path will show,
Better service may I bring;
Till, in worlds of love, His redeeming love,
Thro’ eternal days I’ll sing. [Refrain]
