Representative Text

1 Will you promise me to say a pray’r tonight
To the Lord who did so much for you?
Will you promise me to start tomorrow right
By asking Him to help you thro’?

Refrain:
Will you promise me only promise me
That you’ll do your very best to serve the Lord you love;
Then promise me, only promise me
That you’ll meet me in heav’n above.

2 Will you promise me to turn away from sin,
And be worthy of a Saviour’s love?
Will you strive at heaven’s gate to enter in,
And join the rescued souls above? [Refrain]

3 Will you join the army of the saints below,
Follow Jesus only, ‘til you die?
And be well prepared when you are called to go,
To join the greater one on high? [Refrain]
