Why Should I Live?

Representative Text

1 Why should I live, O Lord,
If not for Thee?
Why shouldst Thou good afford
Daily to me?
Why should I daily live,
Hopeful and free,
If I that life withhold,

I could not lift my hand,

3 Why should I live, O Lord,
But to Thy praise!
Thou art my God and King;
Rule Thou my ways;
Let ev'rything I do,
And all of me,
To Thee, O Lord, be true,
All, all for Thee.
