Representative Text

1 While in this world of sorrow
I see a path well laid;
For pilgrims and for strangers
This narrow path is made;
Tho very rough the journey,
It leads to endless day,
Where we shall all see Jesus,
The Life, the Truth, the Way.

Chorus:
There’s nothing I want but Jesus,
Nothing apart from Him;
There’s nothing I want but Jesus,
Who sav’d me from my sin;
There’s nothing I want but Jesus,
Jesus alone within;
There’s nothing I want but Jesus,
Abiding my heart within.

2 O blessed life in Jesus!
His joy with us He shares;
My spirit now rejoices,
Forgetting all her cares;
By faith I scan the heavens
And see my Jesus there;
He says, “My child, be faithful
Till you my glory share.” [Chorus]

3 “Go forward” still the watchword
While in this land I roam;
I look for His appearing
When He will bear me home;
The coming of my Savior
Is drawing ever nigh;
And soon I shall behold Him,
And reign with Him on high. [Chorus]
