More to do

We love to tell the story Yet there is more to do

Author: F. E. Belden
Tune: [We love to tell the story]
Published in 1 hymnal

Representative Text

1 We love to tell the story;
Yet there is more to do;
For faith brings no salvation
Without obedience too.

Chorus:
Then tell the old, old story,
And heed its precepts, too;
'Tis well to tell the story,
Yet there is more to do.

2 It is a precious story,
And we believe it true;
But who of us can answer
That this alone will do? [Chorus]

3 Let Faith repeat the story,
Let Works proclaim it true;
For they alone are blessed
Who God's commandments do. [Chorus]
