Representative Text

1 Soul that trusteth in Jehovah
Let no trial bring dismay;
Thou art in an holy keeping,—
Thine’s an angel-guarded way.

Refrain:
He hath given charge to keep thee,—
Sweep this world to sad decay,
Time be lost in years eternal,—
Thine’s an angel-guarded way.

2 What tho’ darkness thy pavilion,
Clouds like night enshroud thy day?
‘Tis for thee a “weight of glory,”—
Thine’s an angel-guarded way. [Refrain]

3 God’s thy refuge and thy fortress,—
He will hold thy foes at bay.
Trsuting Him no harm shall slay thee,—
Thine’s an angel-guarded way. [Refrain]

4 Lift thine head, O soul in sorrow!
Sunlight o’er yon hills doth play,
God brights ev’ry day with promise,—
Thine’s an angel-guarded way. [Refrain]
