So strong is our Leader

Representative Text

1 So strong is our Leader in whom we believe!
His grace is abounding, and all may receive,
From Love’s royal bounty, the things that are best,
For Jesus is able to grant each request.

Refrain:
He is able, He is able, He is able to do
Exceedingly, abundantly in all things for you;
More than we can ask, or think, He’ll bestow,
Because He is able and willing, we know.

2 He’s able to keep from the moth and the rust
The treasures committed to His sacred trust;
And even this body His grace can renew,
Because He is able all things to subdue. [Refrain]

3 He’s able to help us when tempted and tried,
And keep us from falling, whatever betide;
And unto the uttermost save every one
Who comes to the Father through faith in the Son. [Refrain]

4 O then let us trust Him each day and each hour,
For His is the kingdom, the glory and pow’r;
All things He possesses are offered to you,
And what He has promised He’s able to do. [Refrain]
