1 Sing out! Sing out!
And with a joyful heart,
O do not be dismayed;
The Lord of hosts is on your side,
How can you feel afraid?

Chorus:
Sing out! Sing out a song of praise!
Let love inspire your voice!
Sing out! Sing out!
The Lord doth reign!
Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice!

2 Sing out! Sing out!
And tho' the storm-clouds low'r,
Hope's rainbow soon will shine;
O look above, with eyes of faith,
Where gleams a light divine. [Chorus]

3 Sing out! Sing out!
O let "thy will be done!"
In sweetest music ring;
In life, in death, there is vict'ry
Thro' Christ, the mighty King. [Chorus]

Lizzie De Armond was a prolific writer of children's hymns, recitations and exercises. When she was twelve years old her first poem was published in the Germantown, Pa. Telegraph, however, it was not until she was a widow with eight children to support that she started writing in earnest. She wrote articles, librettos, nature stories and other works, as well as hymns.
