¿Qué significa ese rumor?

Representative Text

1 ¿Qué significa tal rumor?
¿Qué significa tal tropel?
¿Quién puede un día y otro así
La muchedumbre conmover?
Responde el pueblo en alta voz:
"Pasa Jesús de Nazaret."

2 ¿Quién es, decid, aquel Jesús
Que manifiesta tal poder?
¿Por qué a su paso la ciudad
Se agolpa ansiosa en torno de Él?
Lo dice el pueblo; oíd su voz:
"Pasa Jesús de Nazaret."

3 ¡Jesús, que vino acá a sufrir
Angustia, afán, cansancio y sed;
Y dio consuelo, paz, salud
A cuantos viera padecer!
Por eso alegre el ciego oyó:
"Pasa Jesús de Nazaret."

4 Los que sufrís tribulación,
Venid, descanso y paz tendréis;
Los que alejados camináis
De Dios, su gracia poseeréis;
Si sois tentados, he aquí,
"Pasa Jesús de Nazaret."

5 Mas si su gracia rechazáis,
Su amor mirando con desdén,
Entristecido marchará,
Y en vano luego clamaréis,
¡Es tarde ya! Dirá la voz:
"Fuese Jesús de Nazaret."
