Children Sing

Representative Text

1. Praises ring! Shout and sing
To the Lord with glad rejoicing,
Homage bring, to the King,
With our songs his glory voicing.
Bless his name! Sound his fame!
With the heav'nly host adore him;
Children dear, gathered here,
On this festal day.

Refrain:
Children, sing! O hail the Lord of glory!
Christ our King is coming soon to reign;
Shout for joy! repeat the blessed story,
On this Children's Day.

2. Sweet refrain! Glad acclaim!
Sing "Hosanna, Lord of glory."
For he came, praise his name!
Blessed Christ of gospel story.
Bended be every knee,
To our Saviour and Redeemer;
Tarry none from his throne,
On this happy day. [Refrain]

3. Swell the song! Loud and long!
To the Author of salvation,
Lift the strain, Christ shall reign,
Send to all the proclamation.
Let us now on his brow
Place the crown of dazzling glory,
While we meet at his feet
On this Children's Day. [Refrain]
