Representative Text

1 Out of the darkness of sorrow and pain,
Lead me, my Saviour, my spirit sustain;
Let me not falter or faint by the way,
Lead me and guide me from day unto day.

Chorus:
Lead me, lead me,
Lead me, my Saviour, I trust in thy love;
Lead me, lead me,
Lead me safe homeward to heaven above.

2 Lead me, my Saviour, I rest in thy care,
Give me thy grace all sufficient to bear
Ev'ry temptation, each trial and wrong,
Tenderly guard me life's pathway along. [Chorus]

3 Saviour, I trust in thy power to save,
Give me thy strength all life's battles to brave;
Out of sin's shadows my soul safely bring,
Lead me, O lead me, my Lord and my King. [Chorus]
