Jesus Loves the Children

1 On earth Christ blessed the children;
He loves the children still;
And He will make them happy
If they will do His will.

Yes, Jesus loves the children,
And we love Jesus too;
And we will try to do the things
Which He would have us do.

2 He wants us like the sunshine
To scatter light around;
And so upon our faces
Smiles always should be found. [Refrain]

3 He wants us like the flowers
To shed a fragrance sweet;
And make the day more joyful

4 And like the birds He wants us
To sing a cheerful song;
And know that naught can harm us,

All help to cheer the sad;
