O While the Moments Linger

Representative Text

1. Oh, while the moments linger,
There's work for us to do;
The Master bids us labor,
And in his cause be true.

Chorus:
Oh, while the moments linger,
Oh, while the moments linger,
There's work to do,
There's work to do,
There's work for us to do.

2. Oh, plead not vain excuses,
There's work for ev'ry one;
There are kind words to be spoken,
And kind deeds to be done. [Chorus]

3. Oh, let us do each duty,
As God shall make it plain;
If he shall bless our labor,
It cannot be in vain. [Chorus]

4. Our work will soon be ended,
Our trials soon be o'er;
And then we'll rest in glory
With Jesus evermore. [Chorus]
