Representative Text

1 O what a wonderful story,
Eastertide brings each year,
Tell of a Savior victorious,
Scattering doubt and fear.

Refrain:
Up from the darkness Jesus is risen;
Breaking the fetters that bound Him, He lives to save.

2 O what a wonderful story,
Hark, what the angels say,
“He is not here but is risen,”
See where His body lay. [Refrain]

3 O what a wonderful story!
Death and the grave are vain;
Jesus who died as a ransom,
Liveth again to reign. [Refrain]
