Representative Text

1 O shall I help to swell the song,
In glory land, sweet glory land,
Be one among the ransom’d throng,
In glory land, sweet glory land?
O shall I see His blessed face,
Who died to save a sinful race,
Forever praise Him for His grace,
In glory land, sweet glory land.

Refrain:
O loving, suff’ring Son of God,
Who all alone the winepress trod;
Prepare me thro’ the precious blood,
For glory land, sweet glory land.

2 In that bright home of endless cheer,
In glory land, sweet glory land,
Shall I behold the friends so dear,
In glory land, sweet glory land?
O can it be that we shall meet,
In love and joy each other greet,
Together sit at Jesus’ feet,
In glory land, sweet glory land. [Refrain]

3 O Son of God, my soul prepare,
For glory land, sweet glory land,
Give me the robe that all must wear,
In glory land, sweet glory land!
O Lord, the precious blood apply,
My sinful soul to purify,
That I may live with Thee on high,
In glory land, sweet glory land [Refrain]
