Now Lift We Hymns of Heartfelt Praise to Thee

Representative Text

1 Now lift we hymns of heart-felt praise to Thee,
Our King, Redeemer, Savior, brother, friend!
And when Thy face we, in Thy likeness, see,
Our adoration song shall never end:

Serving Thee, ever, in most holy ways—
Worthy the Lamb who once for us was slain!
That song, forever new, of ceaseless praise.

3 While here we tarry in this world of need,
Seeking the lost ones who in darkness roam,
Thy little flock, good Shepherd, gently lead,
And bear Thy lambs in safety to Thy home.
