Representative Text

1 Mine be a hope that is changeless and sure,
Strong as the hills that forever endure;
Mine be the joy of a soul that is stayed
On the sure foundation that our God hath laid.

Refrain:
There is only one foundation,
There is only one foundation,
There is only one foundation,
Which is Christ the Lord.

2 Earth with its treasures will soon pass away,
Hopes that were dearest will fade and decay;
Nothing but Jesus abides still the same,
Christ the sure foundation; glory to His name. [Refrain]

3 Ho, all ye fainting and ready to die,
Come to the Rock that is higher than I;
Build with the souls who have gone on before,
On the sure foundation, safe forever more. [Refrain]
