Representative Text

1 Mind, brother, mind you how you speak!
Mind, lest you wound the gentle Lord;
Think twice! true heav'nly wisdom seek
Before you utter e'er a word!

2 Stop, brother, mind before you move!
Will Jesus get the glory now?
Does self-will move you or does love?
Consider, brother, what you do!

3 Mind, brother, mind the tho'ts that come,
Seeking your interest to employ;
Are they just holy? e'er you roam,
Away with them, their nature try.

4 Mind, brother, mind you how you speak!
If you would be a perfect man,
Let holy words your silence break,
Sin not in word, you're perfect then.
