Representative Text

1 Look for the sunbeams,
That gladden the way,
Sing though the storm-cloud
May darken the day.
Above them still shineth
The beautiful light,
The darkness dispelling,
As dawn follows night.

Refrain:
Look for the sunbeams,
That gladden the way,
Sing though the storm-cloud
May darken the day.
Look for the sunbeams,
That gladden the way,
Sing though the storm-cloud
May darken the day.

2 Look for the sunbeams,
Be sure they will shine,
Thro’ the dark shadows,
To bless thee and thine.
In seasons of sorrow
Look up and be glad,
God’s love-light is shining,
Thou canst not be sad. [Refrain]

3 Look for the sunbeams,
The rift in the cloud,
Somewhere ‘tis gleaming,
And sing thou aloud.
Above thee thy Father,
Keeps watch over thee,
Unfailing forever,
Thy refuge is He. [Refrain]
