In Him Rejoice

1 Keep your face t'ward the rising sun,
Walk with God till the day is done;
Sing with grace till the vict'ry's won,
Praise his holy name!

Chorus:
Praise him! praise him! praise him!
The Lord of glory, O tell the story;
Praise him! praise him! praise him!
O praise his name, his holy name!

2 Open hearts flood the soul with light,
Songs of joy make the dark days bright;
Praise to God sets the heart aright,
Praise his holy name! [Chorus]

3 Stay'd on him, ev'ry life should make
Music sweet, for the dear Lord's sake;
Shout for joy! let the world awake!
Praise his holy name! [Chorus]

Author: Lizzie DeArmond

Lizzie De Armond was a prolific writer of children's hymns, recitations and exercises. When she was twelve years old her first poem was published in the Germantown, Pa. Telegraph, however, it was not until she was a widow with eight children to support that she started writing in earnest. She wrote articles, librettos, nature stories and other works, as well as hymns.
