1 Jesus, lead the way,
So we shall not stray;
From the path while here abiding,
But shall follow Thy safe guiding;
Lead us by the hand,
To that happy land.

2 Should our far be hard,
Be Thou our reward;
Should our days be very dreary,
And our burdens very weary;

Vex and wound our heart,
Then in all our woe and weakness,
Grant us patience, grant us meekness;
