Representative Text

1 I’ll trust the dear Father who knows what is best,
The cross He will help me to bear;
In yonder bright home there remaineth a rest,
And I shall be satisfied there.

Refrain:
Yes, I shall be satisfied there,
I shall be satisfied there;
In realms ever blest there remaineth a rest,
And I shall be satisfied there.

2 He’ll show me the meaning of ev’ry dark day,
Of seeming denial to prayer;
I’ll see that His love freely brightened the way,
And I shall be satisfied there. [Refrain]

3 I know not what wonderful joys shall be mine,
When clad in His beauty so fair,
There, fadeless, forever, His glory will shine,
And I shall be satisfied there. [Refrain]

4 I know not the form of the friends I shall greet,
When called in their rapture to share;
But when at the feet of the Master we meet,
I know we’ll be satisfied there. [Refrain]
