Representative Text

1 I’ll take Thy Name where’er I go,
Dear Lord, Thy precious Name,
The sweetest Name ear ever heard,
In heaven and earth the same.

Refrain:
O the Name, the sweetest Name,
The blessed Name of Jesus!
Dearest Name, in heaven and earth the same,
The precious Name of Jesus!

2 It makes the way of life so plain,
The brightest day more bright,
The thorny path more pleasant seem,
And heavy burdens light. [Refrain]

3 The journey of each day becomes
A newborn joy to me;
Each night’s encampment shadows forth
Eternal rest in Thee. [Refrain]

4 O Jesus, I will bind Thy Name
More closely to my heart,
And waft it heavenward as I go,
When from this life I part. [Refrain]
