Because He Loved Me So

Representative Text

1 I often stop and wonder why
The King of Realms beyond the sky
Should choose to live for me, and die—
It was because He loved me so.

Refrain:
Because He loved me so,
Because He loved me so,
He bled and died on Calvary
Because He loved me so.

2 His grace alone can fathom sin,
It makes the heart as white as snow;
He plants the light of love within,
And all because He loves me so. [Refrain]

3 His footsteps lead me all the way,
He guards my path where’er I go,
He turns earth’s darkest night to day,
It is because He loves me so. [Refrain]

4 His voice alone shall bid me come
To heights supreme I long to know,
Where angels sing my welcome home,
And all because He loves me so. [Refrain]
