Representative Text

1 I carry my troubles to Jesus my Friend;
O what could I do without Him?
For often the raindrops of sorrow descend,
The pathway is clouded and dim.

Refrain:
I carry my troubles to One who is Love;
His smile gives a comforting ray;
And when I shall see Him in glory above,
The shadows will all flee away.

2 I carry my troubles to Jesus my King,
His pow’r will all evil control;
Instead of the brier, the rose will upspring;
His voice will speak peace to my soul. [Refrain]

3 I carry my troubles to Jesus my Lord,
Redeemer and Savior divine;
He wakens within me a rapturous chord;
His grace and His glory are mine. [Refrain]
