Representative Text

1 Hosanna to the Son of God
Who deigned to dwell on earth!
Angels proclaimed the joyful news
Of our Redeemer’s birth.

2 Hosanna to the rightful heir
Of David’s royal throne,
Excelling earthly kings by far,
Our mighty cornerstone.

3 To Him who claims, and well deserves,
Our most exalted praise,
We with united hearts and tongues,
Our loud hosannas raise.
