Representative Text

1 Hear the angels in heaven rejoicing today,
For a lamb who was lost on the mountains away
Has been found by the Shepherd Who sought for the stray;
That lamb is home today.

Safe at home in the fold,
Free from danger and cold;
While it follows the Shepherd and does what it’s told,
That lamb is home to stay.

2 Praise the Lord for His power to rescue the blind,
For the lamb had been hurt, brutal snares had entwined,
But the Shepherd has healed it, how loving and kind!
That lamb is home today. [Refrain]

3 Let the ninety and nine sheltered sheep now rejoice,
For the lamb has come home at the sound of the voice
Of the Shepherd so dear, and has made Him their choice;
That lamb is home today. [Refrain]
