Representative Text

1 Have ye received the Holy Ghost
To dwell within your soul,
And do you know His mighty power
To cleanse, and make you whole?

Refrain:
Have you received, since you believed,
Have you received the Holy Ghost?
Have you received, since you believed,
The blessed Holy Ghost.

2 Have you thrown open ev’ry door,
That He might rule within,
And give you grace to walk in white,
And triumph over sin? [Refrain]

3 Have you received the Holy Ghost,
And does He testify
To you, in sweetest, clearest tones
Of Christ, your Lord on high? [Refrain]

4 Now does His light illume the Word
Until its pages shine,
To lead you on from grace to grace,
In fellowship divine? [Refrain]
