Hail To The Virgin Born

Representative Text

1 Hail! to the virgin born,
The Prince of life and light;
Hail! to the bright and glorious morn
Revealing Him to sight.

2 Hail! to the Lamb of God,
The spring of health and peace,
Who came to gladden man’s abode,
The captive to release.

3 Hail! to the promised seed
Of Israel’s favored race;
Who came His chosen band to lead
To God’s own dwelling place.

4 Hail! to the Lord and Son
Of David’s royal house;
The God of Heaven earth’s veil puts on,
The Heaven of Heavens He bows.

5 Hail! the expected Christ,
Let Heaven’s wide arches ring
With glory to our great high priest,
Our prophet and our king.
