Representative Text

1. Hail! thou once rejected Jesus,
Now the everlasting King!
Thou didst suffer to redeem us,
Thou didst our salvation bring.

Chorus:
Hail! Hail! thou everlasting King!
Thou didst suffer to redeem us,
Thou didst our salvation bring.

2. Once the agonizing Saviour,
Bearing all our sin and shame!
By Thy merits we find favor;
Life is given through Thy name. [Chorus]

3. Paschal Lamb, by God appointed!
All our sins on Thee were laid;
With the Spirit's power anointed,
Thou hast full atonement made. [Chorus]

4. All Thy people are forgiven
Thro' the virtue of Thy blood;
Thou didst come to earth from heaven,
Here to make our peace with God. [Chorus]
