Representative Text

1 God of love, from above,
Hear us as we pray;
Bending near, calm each fear,
Bless our lives this day.

Refrain:
God of love, we come to seek Thy blessing,
Give a message to each waiting heart;
Hear Thy children, ev’ry need confessing,
Peace and comfort to each soul impart;
Give us strength for ev’ry coming duty,
By Thy goodness may our feet be led,
Teach us lessons full of love and beauty,
As the path of life with Thee we tread.

2 Help the weak, gently speak
Words of hope and cheer;
Day by day, lead the way
Make each duty clear. [Refrain]

3 To each heart, strength impart,
Guide us by Thy grace;
Till at last, toiling past,
We shall see Thy face. [Refrain]
