Gleðilig Jól!

Representative Text

1 Gleðilig jól! Gleðilig jól!
Ljóðar av himli einglalag.
Armi syndari, óttast ei nú,
Gleðiboðskapin hoyrir tú:
Jesus er føddur í dag,
Jesus er føddur í dag.

2 Faðir vár! Faðir vár!
Høgt tó tú á himli býrt,
Ikki gloymdi tú barnið títt,
Elskaði syndiga hjarta mítt;
Veri um ævi tær dýrd,
Veri um ævi tær dýrd.

3 Frelsari mín! Frelsari mín!
Náði tín hon er mítt skjól.
Paradísportrið er opnað mær,
Aldri kann eg fulltakka tær
Fyri gleðilig jól,
Fyri gleðilig jól.
