Representative Text

1 For years I had drifted, God’s plan could not see,
And oft in the shadow my spirit would be;
But gently He led me, and now I can see
His wonderful plan unfolding to me.

Refrain:
Unfolding, unfolding,
God’s plan is unfolding for me;
The longer I live, the more I can see,
God’s plan unfolding for me.

2 When trouble o’erwhelm’d me, and friends prov’d untrue,
And dark clouds of doubt hid the bright heaven’s blue;
Just when I was sinking, my faith faint and cold,
His hand gently led me back to the fold, [Refrain]

3 Thro’ trials He drew me close to His dear side,
And here I’m content evermore to abide;
And now to win others His goodness to see,
In God’s wondrous plan unfolding for me. [Refrain]
