في عرش فادينا البها

1 - في عرشِ فادينا البها
قد حلَّ والجمالْ
ورأسُهُ مُكَللٌ
بالمجدِ والكمالْ

2 - يفيضُ يَنبوعُ النِّعَمْ
مِن شَفَةِ القديرْ
ومجدُهُ بين الأممْ
ليس له نظيرْ

3 - أجملُ من كلِّ جميلْ
ومالئُ السما
أبقى إلى جيلٍ فجيلْ
له مرنما

4 - لو كان لي ألفُ فؤادْ
أعطيتُها ربي
فإنه مُعطي المرادْ
ومنيةُ القلبِ

Samuel Stennett was born at Exeter, in 1727. His father was pastor of a Baptist congregation in that city; afterwards of the Baptist Chapel, Little Wild Street, London. In this latter pastorate the son succeeded the father in 1758. He died in 1795.
