Representative Text

1 Farewell, farewell, Christmas morn,
Day the Prince of Peace was born,
Day that brings to earth good-cheer,
Brightest day of all the year.

Refrain:
Ringing, ringing, swinging through the air,
Ringing, ringing, swinging everywhere,
Bells ring out the Christmas joy,
And God’s praise our tongues employ,
Bells ring out, sweet bells ring out the Christmas joy.

2 “Peace on earth, good-will to men,”
Echo through the world again,
And how Christ the Saviour came,
All His children now proclaim. [Refrain]

3 Jesus, “King of Israel,”
Jesus, “Our Immanuel,”
May Thy Spirit be our guide,
And may we in Thee abide. [Refrain]
