El M'a Condus

Representative Text

1 El m’a condus, ce glorie
Cuvinte de mângâiere,
Ori undeaşi fi, oriceaşi face,
Mâna Domnului mă duce.

Refren:
El mă duce, mă conduce,
Cu braţele I puternice;
Lui voiu urma cu credintă
Căci mâna Lui ma conduce.

2 Doamneţi dau mâna mea’n a Ta,
Nici când nu mă voiu întristà,
Iţi mulţumesc pentru toate,
Căci mâna Ta mă conduce. [Refren]

3 Iar când al meu lucru sfârşesc
Şi biruinţă dobândesc;
Nici de moarte nu mă tem chiar,
Căci prin Iordan mă trece’n dar. [Refren]

In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries. Go to person page >
