Representative Text

1 Earth has many scenes that charm me,
Beauty smiles on all things here;
There’s a hope within my bosom
Which beyond all else is dear.

Refrain:
O the joy of meeting Jesus,
In His presence to abide,
To behold His face forever,
My Redeemer glorified!

2 Now His hand unseen doth guide me,
Thru my life His love I trace;
But I long with all the ransom’d
There to gaze upon His face. [Refrain]

3 O to know Him in His fulness!
I so little yet have known;
‘Twill be heaven there to see Him,
And to worship round His throne. [Refrain]

4 ‘Tis on earth my highest pleasure,
Christ to see in ev’rything;
When I waken in His likeness,
With what joy I’ll greet my King! [Refrain]

5 Glory, glory, alleluia!
He is all in all to me;
Thor’ the ages yet unnumber’d
With the Savior I shall be. [Refrain]
