Representative Text

1 “Come unto me,” the Savior’s voice is calling,
Sweetly across the wilderness of sin,
Come weary wand’rers, home and shelter seeking,
Wide is love’s fold, O come and enter in.

Chorus:
Come unto me, for all is room and welcome,
Come unto me, ye troubled, sin distressed,
Come unto me, no more in desert’s straying,
Come unto me and I will give you rest.

2 “Come unto me,” the tender call is ringing,
Sweetly and clearly down the tide of years,
Home, love and shelter, rest and peace are waiting,
Gladness and joy beyond earth’s heart-sick tears. [Chorus]

3 “Come unto me,” O blessed invitation,
Here find a balm for ev’ry grief and ill,
Healing and cleansing for earth’s wounds and sin stains,
For you the fold of love is open still. [Chorus]
