Representative Text

1 Blest Sabbath morn, with its chiming bells,
And the story sweet that their music tells
Of a Savior’s birth and a Savior’s love,
And a home of bliss and joy above.

Refrain:
Blest Sabbath morn! blest Sabbath morn!
With its merry, happy, chiming bells;
How we hail with joy the blessed morn,
And the story of love and joy it tells.

2 Blest Sabbath-school, with its prayer and song,
With its joyous, happy, youthful throng;
How our hearts abound as we meet to-day,
To learn about the narrow way. [Refrain]

3 Blest Savior dear, for thy life and love,
We will strive to reach that home above,
Where the music sweet of that happy throng
Shall greet us with everlasting song. [Refrain]
