Representative Text

1 Be Thou our guide, O Man of Galilee,
All the way, all the way;
Be this our joy to serve and follow Thee,
Tell Thy love for aye.

Refrain:
How lowly, yet how royal,
O Thou our Master, Lord and King,
We yield Thee hearts so loyal,
And unto Thee our praise we sing.
We follow, follow ever,
For we would Thy disciples be,
And day by day Thy voice obey,
O Man of Galilee.

2 Be Thou our friend, O Man of Galilee,
Ever near, ever near;
Thy call divine, “O come ye unto me,”
We rejoice to hear. [Refrain]

3 Our Shepherd Thou, O Man of Galilee,
Ever blest, ever blest;
Our Pilot Thou o’er dark and stormy sea,
To the harbor rest. [Refrain]
