Representative Text

1 As falleth the rain in the Springtime,
As gentle and soft as the dew,
So shineth the love of the Father,
Refreshing and tender, on you.

Refrain:
Shining! ‘tis shining for me,
Shining! ‘tis shining for thee,
The light of God’s love,
With joy from above,
Is shining for you and for me.

2 From Calvary’s cross there is streaming
The light of His wonderful love,
Dispelling earth’s gloom and its sadness,
A blessing from heaven above. [Refrain]

3 Why longer abide in the darkness,
When light is so full and so free?
Why dwell where the shadows are falling?
God’s love is now shining for thee. [Refrain]
