Representative Text

1 Are you burdened with a load of sin?
Do you long the victory to win?
Christ alone your conqueror can be,
He can set you absolutely free.

Refrain:
Christ can set you absolutely free,
He alone can give the victory;
Only let Him have His way,
Simply trust Him ev’ry day,
He alone can set you absolutely free.

2 Is He not God’s well-beloved Son?
Has He not o’er sin the vict’ry won?
Why not trust the Lamb of Calvary?
He can set you absolutely free. [Refrain]

3 Self must go if Christ would enter in,
Striving cease, the life of faith begin;
Christ must reign, the King of kings is He,
He can set you absolutely free. [Refrain]

4 Now by faith accept His proffered gift,
From defeat your life He now would lift;
Simply trust if you would victor be,
He can set you absolutely free. [Refrain]
