Representative Text

1 A wonderful fountain is opened,
Whose waters are flowing free,
For every lost soul in creation;
'Tis the fountain of Calvary.

Refrain:
Yes, Calvary's fountain is flowing,
Oh, plunge in its waters today;
Though you are the greatest of sinners,
It will wash all your sins away.

2 The Savior made an atonement,
Dear brother, for you and me,
And life everlasting is given,
In the fountain of Calvary. [Refrain]

3 Thank God for the day when, a sinner,
This fountain my eyes did see;
I left all my sins at the cleansing,
In the fountain of Calvary. [Refrain]

4 Oh, brother, go carry the message
O'er mountain andplain and sea,
Till all the world hears of the virtue
Of the fountain of Calvary. [Refrain]

He toured eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey for several months each year till 1895. He became a very active evangelist and song writer, holding meetings in every American state and in Britain. --www.hymntime.com/tch… Go to person page >
