Representative Text

1 A pilgrim on the upward way,
Happy in the love of Jesus;
The path grows brighter ev’ry day,
Happy in the love of Jesus.

Chorus:
Happy, happy, happy,
Casting fear away,
Trusting day by day,
I’m happy, always happy
In the love, the wondrous love of Jesus.

2 I’m journ’ying to a better land,
Happy in the love of Jesus;
My Father holds me by the hand,
Happy in the love of Jesus. [Chorus]

3 I’m on the road that leads to heav’n,
Happy in the love of Jesus;
Abundant grace my Lord has giv’n,
Happy in the love of Jesus. [Chorus]

4 My God will ev’ry need supply,
Happy in the love of Jesus;
His is a fountain never dry,
Happy in the love of Jesus. [Chorus]

5 My God will wipe all tears away,
Happy in the love of Jesus
And strength renew from day to day,
Happy in the love of Jesus. [Chorus]

6 Come and enjoy this gospel store,
Happy in the love of Jesus,
And praise your Savior evermore,
Happy in the love of Jesus. [Chorus]
