A little child can serve Jesus

1 A little child can brightly shine,
For Christ, the children’s Friend;
And learn while young, by faith divine,
On Jesus to depend.

Dear children, think of Jesus’ love,
Come, give your hearts to Him;
Walk in the path that leads above,
Let not your light grow dim.

2 A little child can do some deed,
Of kindness every day;
And thus be sowing precious seed,

3 A little child, our Saviour came,
And lived upon the earth;
To save us from our sin and shame,

“Is by his doings known;”
