Thomas M. Westrup

1837 - 1909 Person Name: J. M. W. Hymnal Number: 30 Translator of "Sol de mi ser, mi Salvador" in Himnario de las Iglesias Evangelicas Thomas Martin Westrup moved with his family from London to Mexico when he was fifteen years old. He translated hundreds of hymns and, along with his son, Enrique, published a three-volume hymnal Incienso Christiano. Pedro Castro

1840 - 1887 Person Name: P. Castro Hymnal Number: 81a Author of "Nunca los hombres cantarán" in Himnario de las Iglesias Evangelicas Pedro Castro Iriarte was converted to Christianity while he was a young man working for a printing company in Madrid. He then served as a pastor, organizing churches in Valladolid and Madrid. He was also a prolific writer of prose, poetry, and children's stories. He also translated many hymns. M. N. Hutchinson

1835 - 1935 Hymnal Number: 2 Author of "Vén, Santo Espíritu, ¡oh ven,!" in Himnario de las Iglesias Evangelicas Merill N. Hutchinson. As of 1871, Hutchinson was pastor of a Presbyterian church in Dunellen, New Jersey. In 1873, he resigned his pastorate and moved to Mexico City.
