All beautiful the march of days

Author: Frances Whitmarsh Wile, 1878-1939 Appears in 86 hymnals Scripture: Psalm 147:16-18 Lyrics: 1 All beautiful the march of days, as seasons come and go; the hand that shaped the rose hath wrought the crystal of the snow, hath sent the hoary frost of heaven, the flowing waters sealed, and laid a silent loveliness on hill and wood and field. 2 O’er white expanses sparkling pure the radiant morns unfold; the solemn splendours of the night burn brightly through the cold; life mounts in every throbbing vein, love deepens round the hearth, and clearer sounds the angel hymn, good will to all on earth. 3 O thou from whose unfathomed law the year in beauty flows, thyself the vision passing by in crystal and in rose; day unto day doth utter speech, and night to night proclaim in ever-changing words of light the wonder of thy name. Topics: Christmas; Old and New Year; Rural Life / Rogation Sunday Used With Tune: CHRISTMAS CAROL

Come, ye faithful, raise the anthem

There he wins our full salvation, dies that we may die no more; then arising, lives for ever, reigning where he was before. 4 High on yon celestial mountains stands his sapphire throne, all bright, midst unending alleluias bursting from the saints in light; Sion's people tell his praises, victor after hard-won fight. 5 Bring your harps, and bring your incense, sweep the string and pour the lay; let the earth proclaim his wonders, King of that celestial day; he the Lamb once slain is worthy, who was dead, and lives for ay. 6 Laud and honour to the Father, laud and honour to the Son, laud and honour to the Spirit, ever Three and ever One, consubstantial, co-eternal, while unending ages run.
