I have a large number of assorted Stamps and Baxter songbooks and our choir will probably want to use some of the songs. The books are out of print and Stamps/Baxter is no longer in business. Does anyone have any idea who to contact to get copyright permissions to copy and use the songs?

According to the Music Publishers Association directory, Stamps-Baxter is owned by Zondervan Music Corp.

Benson Music Group bought out Zondervan, which was later renamed Brentwood Benson. Under Brentwood Benson, all Stamps/Baxter copyrights were put under the Bridge Building Music division. Since the dissolution of Brentwood Benson, all of the copyrights are directly under Capitol CMG. Go to licensing.capitolcmg.com for licensing.
