One is kind / One there is

You are here

This is a request to merge two text authority records. The original text is "One there is above all others, oh how he loves" by Marianne Nunn:

https://hymnary.org/text/one_there_is_above_all_others_o_how_he_l

This is sometimes altered as "One is kind above all others":

https://hymnary.org/text/one_is_kind_above_all_others

The latter is a variant of the former. I almost made the fix myself, but on the latter authority page there are some additional resources, so I didn't want to muck up someone else's work in adding that data.

Both of these are an adaptation of John Newton's "One there is above all others." These should be kept separate from Newton's text, as the meter and the texts are substantially different.

Thanks! They have been merged.

Thank you. Here's another variant of Nunn's text that should probably also be merged:

Thanks. "There's a friend.." has been merged with "One there is..."
